創業以来150年の長きにわたり、熟練の職人によって1本1本丁寧に作られてきた英国紳士必携の細身傘。伝統的で洗練されたデザインは、開いた時の美しさはもちろん、閉じた時の細身のフォルムも特徴的で、時代を超えて変わらぬ支持を得ています。

日英のクラフトマンシップが融合した特別モデル。初回生産分は完売。

そんな世界的なアンブレラブランドが昨年販売を開始し、注目を集めているのがFOX UMBRELLAS Urushiシリーズ。その漆塗りを堤淺吉漆店にお任せ頂きました。ウッドハンドル（持ち手）とウッドエンド（先端）に漆を施した特別仕様で、ナチュラルな拭き漆仕上げと、奥行きある飴色が美しい赤呂色仕上げの2種類。共に木目を活かした技法ですが、それぞれ特徴の異なる美しい表情に仕上がっています。優雅な光沢と独特の質感を生み出し、使うほどに風合いが増していきます。

持ち手に赤呂色漆を塗り、呂色磨きという手法で琥珀色に輝く仕上げに。握り心地は抜群。

何度も漆を塗っては拭き上げて艶を出す拭き漆の技法で、より木目が際立つ仕上げに。

The Urushi Series

Last year, this world-renowned brand garnered significant attention with the launch of the FOX UMBRELLAS Urushi Series. We are honored to announce that Tsutsumi Asakichi Urushi Shop was entrusted with the lacquerwork for this prestigious collection.

This special edition features urushi lacquer applied to the wooden handle and end-tip. The series offers two distinct finishes that highlight the natural grain of the wood:

Fuki-urushi (Wiped Lacquer): A natural, understated finish.

Aka-roiro : A deep, lustrous amber finish with remarkable depth.

Both techniques produce an elegant gloss and a unique tactile texture that develops a richer character over time. The Urushi Series is a masterful blend of classic British design and Japanese aesthetic sensibilities.
