輪島塗ワークショップ「自分のお椀を塗るところからin京都」
夫婦でオリジナル漆器ブランド「YUKAKU」を主宰する輪島塗の塗師、諸石健太郎さんを講師に迎え、漆塗りの最終工程である「上塗り」を体験していただくワークショップを4/20(土)、21(日)の２日間 開催いたします。
諸石さん夫妻は、ともに石川県輪島漆芸技術研修所を修了。その後、輪島に残り、それぞれ塗りや蒔絵の仕事に従事しながら、2018年に「YUKAKU」を設立。活躍の場を広げてきましたが、今年１月の能登半島地震で、自宅工房が全焼。住む場所も漆や材料、道具も全て失いました。失意の中、全国の友人や漆仲間から道具や材料を譲り受け、勇気付けられ、現在は輪島の仮設住宅で少しずつ制作活動を再開しています。
今回のワークショップは、諸石さんの仲間たちの暖かい想いにより集められた漆刷毛や道具を使用。木地に下地し、朱漆で中塗りされたお椀に最終の上塗りをして頂く貴重な体験をして頂けます。
レアな職人道具に触れ、本格的な制作体験が出来るこの機会。塗ったお椀はしっかりと硬化させて、後日完成品として諸石さんから送られます。

We are excited to announce our upcoming workshop on the 20th and 21st of this month, where you can get hands-on with the final process of Urushinuri-The final coat!
The workshop will be led by Kentarou Moroishi, a skilled Wajimanuri artisan and the founder of YUKAKU.
Kentarou and his wife Yuko completed their training at the Wajimanuri Technology Training Insitute in Ishikawa Prefecture. They stayed in Wajima afterwards, each pursuing careers in Urushinuri and Makie before founding YUKAKU together in 2018.
Kentarou’s home and studio were destroyed in a fire caused by the Noto earthquake in January. After losing everything they had, he and his family, alongside others affected by the disaster, are slowly rebuilding their lives.
Now residing temporarily in Wajima,
Kentarou is reigniting his passion for his craft step by step. With the help of friends and artisans from all over Japan, they’ve generously provided him with the tools and materials necessary to restart his work.
During the workshop, you will apply the final coat to a soup bowl using those very same materials.
After your piece is complete, these bowls will be carefully cured and sent to you as finished products later.

年始にあった能登半島地震に伴う火災で自宅、工房が全焼。道具や材料、作品もほぼ全て燃えてしまいました。 けれど有り難いことに、被災後すぐに全国の友人、知人たちから「うちにある道具、良かったら使って」と有難い声が届きました。おかげさまで何とか漆器を作る道具が揃ってきました。 今回のワークショップでは、そうして集まった全国の道具たちを使用します。 本来、漆塗りの道具はそれぞれ自分が使いやすいように仕立てるものですが、色々な産地、たくさんの方々の道具を扱うことで、改めて漆塗りの技術について学ばせていただくことができました。 そうして感じたことなども、お話しさせていただけたらと思います。 堤淺吉漆店でも漆、刷毛などの材料、道具を販売されているので、そちらを選ぶ際のご相談にもお応えします。
