スタッフが会議などに使うMTGルームのテーブルに漆を施すこだわりよう。

スポーツ・アウトドアブランドを展開する「GOLDWIN」のオリジナルブランド関西初となるフラッグシップショップ「Goldwin Kyoto」が2025年5月、京都市中京区にオープンしました。「THE NORTH FACE」をはじめとするアウトドアブランドのメーカーとして知名度の高い同社ですが、近年はアパレルラインも充実し、ファッション業界からも注目される人気ブランドです。

ここは、新素材研究所が店舗デザインを担当したことでも注目されるショップで、店内ではGoldwinの細部にまでこだわった日本の伝統的・普遍的な美しさが織りなす機能美を体現した製品を展開。今回、堤淺吉漆店は、ファニチャーデザインを担当されたデザインスタジオmonoyaさんからのご依頼を受け、同店４階のミーティングルームに設置されるテーブル天板に漆塗りを施させて頂きました。

鉄製の天板に、密着性を担保し、黒艶消し漆のヒビ塗りで仕上げさせて頂きました。
ツルッとした鏡面仕上げではなく、あえて艶をマットに抑え、ランダムに入るビビのテクスチャーを活かしたデザインに仕上げました。

Goldwin Kyoto, the first flagship shop in the Kansai region for the original brand of the sports and outdoor company GOLDWIN, opened in Nakagyo Ward, Kyoto City, in May 2025. GOLDWIN is well-known as a manufacturer of outdoor brands, including "THE NORTH FACE," but in recent years, its apparel line has also been expanded, making it a popular brand that is gaining attention from the fashion industry.

The shop is also notable for its design, which was handled by the New Material Research Laboratory (Shinso-ken). Inside, the store features products that embody functional beauty, a blend of meticulous detail and traditional, universal Japanese aesthetics. For this project, Tsutsumi Asakichi Urushi Shop was commissioned by design studio monoya, who was in charge of the furniture design, to apply a lacquer finish to the tabletop in the 4th-floor meeting room.

We applied a matte black Urushi (lacquer) cracked finish (Hibi-nuri) to the iron tabletop, ensuring strong adhesion. Rather than a slick, mirror-like finish, the design was intentionally completed with a suppressed matte sheen, utilizing the unique texture of the randomly appearing cracks.

黒の艶消し漆にあえてヒビを入れた加工は、高度な技術が必要。

光の当たり方で表情を変えるヒビ塗りの天板。

傷か付きにくく、目立ちにくいヒビ塗りは、テーブルとしての実用性も高い。
