大川翔吾展 SHOGO OKAWA EXHIBITION 「C₂₁H₃₄O₂ = 森の血」開催のお知ら

日頃よりUnd.｜堤淺吉漆店 をご愛顧いただき、誠にありがとうございます。
11月7日（金）より、デザイナー／漆芸作家 大川 翔吾氏のEXHIBITION「C₂₁H₃₄O₂ = 森の血」の開催が決定いたしました。
森の血 ― 大地とともに生きるためのデザイン
自然環境と人間の時間軸的背景に対する畏敬を表現するうえで、
「最適で最高の素材は森の血＝漆である」と大川翔吾さんは語ります。
漆芸をベースに、テクノロジーと手仕事を横断しながら、
デザイナーとして“現代における豊かさ”を探求し続ける大川さん。
その作品は、日常で使用される器やインテリアの中に、
地球・時間・生命といった人智を超えた存在への“気づき”を宿しています。
本展「C₂₁H₃₄O₂ = 森の血」では、
漆という素材の根源的な力と、新たな素材・技術を融合させることで、
“森の血”が持つ循環と再生の象徴を現代のかたちとして提示します。
Artist Profile
大川 翔吾 | Shogo Okawa
デザイナー／漆芸作家。1995年神奈川県生まれ。
多摩美術大学環境デザイン学科卒業（次席）、同大学院環境デザイン領域修了（首席）。
Panasonic Design Centerを経て、2025年に SHOGO OKAWA DESIGN 設立。
工業デザインと手仕事のあいだを往復しながら、
「大地と地続きになる暮らし」をテーマに活動。
グッドデザイン賞ベスト100、Red Dot Award など受賞多数。

We are pleased to announce the upcoming exhibition by designer and urushi (lacquer) artist Shogo Okawa, titled
“C₂₁H₃₄O₂ = Blood of the Forest,” opening on Friday, November 7, 2025.
Blood of the Forest — Design for Living with the Earth
“In expressing reverence for the natural environment and the temporal relationship between nature and humankind,
the most optimal and noble material is the blood of the forest — urushi,” says Okawa.
Rooted in the tradition of urushi craftsmanship, Okawa’s work traverses technology and handcraft,
continuously exploring what “richness” means in contemporary life.
His creations—spanning tableware and interior objects—invite awareness of elements beyond human intellect:
the Earth, time, and life itself.
In this exhibition, “C₂₁H₃₄O₂ = Blood of the Forest,”
Okawa presents urushi as a material of primal vitality,
fusing it with new materials and technologies to express the symbolism of circulation and regeneration
in a contemporary form.
Artist Profile
Shogo Okawa | Designer / Urushi Artist
Born in Kanagawa, Japan, in 1995.
Graduated second in his class from the Department of Environmental Design, Tama Art University,
and completed his master’s degree in the same field with top honors.
After working at the Panasonic Design Center, he established SHOGO OKAWA DESIGN in 2025.
His work moves fluidly between industrial design and handcraft,
exploring the theme of “a life continuous with the earth.”
Recipient of numerous awards including the Good Design Award Best 100 and Red Dot Award.
